WHAT TO EXPECT

WHAT TO BRING | WHAT NOT TO BRING | GETTING READY FOR BMT
PRE-BMT TRAINING PROGRAM | YOUR FIRST WEEK
IMPORTANT FIRST WEEK INFORMATION | A TYPICAL DAY IN BASIC
GRADUATION

Although a recruiter should have given you a complete list of approved and restricted items, here you will find a handy checklist of what to bring to Basic Military Training. For your convenience, the checklist is broken up into easy to find categories:

PAPERWORK | BANKING MATERIALS | MEDICAL MATERIALS
PERSONAL HYGIENE | CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES | OTHER ITEMS

If you forget something, don’t worry, you can always pick it up at the “Troop Mall,” which acts as the Base Exchange (BX) for basic military recruits.

Paperwork

  • College transcripts, Civil Air Patrol Certificates, and any JROTC certificates.
  • Driver's license.
  • Alien Card and/or naturalization certificates (if applicable)
  • Marriage license and any birth certificates for your dependents.
  • Social security card.
  • Enlistment contract.

TIPS
Make a copy of any important paperwork. That way, you’ll have a backup in case something is misplaced.
